Converting your verge to natives is a fantastic way to save on water, support local wildlife and make your garden more climate resilient.

OUR EXPERT SPEAKERS
Hannah Gulliver, ReWild Perth
Hannah is Program Manager of ReWild Perth, a local non-profit that provides practical resources for people to make their homes and gardens safe spaces for native wildlife. Hannah is a conservationist, communicator and public educator.
Hannah will be speaking at 36 Manning St, Mosman Park (10am) and 43A Thor St, Innaloo (3pm).
Dr Jane Chambers, NatureLink Perth
Jane is the founder and director of NatureLink Perth, a community of practice to advocate, align and inform the efforts of individuals to transition Perth to a be a nature-linked city. Jane is also Senior Lecturer, Environmental and Conservation Sciences at Murdoch University.
Jane will be speaking at 99 Grovedale Rd, Floreat (1pm) and 6 Camden St, Wembley Downs (2pm).
Dr Claire Doll, UWA
Claire is an environmental economist who uses survey tools to understand public preferences for urban greening. Part of Claire’s PhD was studying the effectiveness of programs to encourage native verges.
Claire will be speaking at 42 Grant St, Cottesloe (11am).
Lisa Edwards, WA Loves Nature
Lisa Edwards is an Environmental Scientist who for many years managed impacts on Threatened Species and Communities in WA. Lisa founded WA Loves Nature to help tackle the extinction crisis by showcasing WA’s amazing biodiversity and letting people know how to support it.
Lisa will be speaking at 79 Evans St, Shenton Park (12pm).

ABOUT NATIVE VERGE OPEN DAY
Native Verge Open Day is being organised by the urban greening volunteers from Curtin’s Pathway to Net Zero, in partnership with ReWild Perth.
Curtin’s Pathway to Net Zero is a community initiative from the office of Kate Chaney MP.
ReWild Perth is a local non-profit helping you create a beautiful native garden that brings nature home. ReWild Perth is a project of Perth NRM and Birdlife Australia.
ReWild Perth’s participation in this project is funded by the Australian Government Natural Heritage Trust and delivered by Perth Natural Resource Management, a member of the Commonwealth Regional Delivery Partners panel.
